TA Assignments, Responsibilities, and Pay Rates

Each department decides on how to distribute their TA-ships for the year. If you are interested in being a TA, contact your department (or any other department you think you can TA for). To prepare for the job, it is useful to attend the campuswide TA conference in the fall (for more information, go to http://www.oid.ucla.edu/units/tatp/conference/afterconf) and to take the 495 seminar offered (usually in the fall) in your department. The 495 seminar is designed specifically to train new TAs.
