IML Room Reservations

The Instructional Media Lab offers room reservations to UCLA faculty and TAs.

Students and non-campus affiliates cannot make reservations. However, you are welcome to use the Media Lab on a walk-in basis.

Policy Highlights

***Please note that instructors should contact Audio Visual Services (AVS) to arrange for equipment for screening in their regular classroom before making a reservation at the Media Lab.

  • Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Rooms are for occasional use only, e.g., if your classroom is not media equipped or you are using media which cannot be circulated outside of Powell Library
  • Only ARSC, IMCS materials, and/or media approved by the IMCS may be used in the Media Lab


Contact the Media Library office to request media or receive clearance to show your own media.  Only approved media can be shown in the Media Lab.

We recommend consulting with the Media Library or ARSC to ensure that the media is here for your class meeting. Contact the Media Lab at medialab@ucla.edu, or at 310-206-1211 to confirm room, equipment needed, dates and times. 

You will be notified by e-mail of your reservation request details, along with a reservation number which confirms your request.
