Slide Projection- Two slide projectors are located in a cabinet in the very back of the room. The cabinet is always unlocked. The projectors do not have their own trays - these must be supplied by the instructor. AVS has trays available for check-out also.
- A remote control is attached to a movable podium in the front of the room. Controls are also at the console.
Data Projection- An NEC Projector is installed in the ceiling. When activated, it descends and can project both video and data.
- A VGA cable near the front console can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops, and there is an attached audio cable for playing laptop sound in the room.
- Apple laptops require the Apple DVI-to-VGA adapter to connect to our projectors.
Video ProjectionEthernet- Two ports are available for hooking up to the Internet through the Classroom Network. One is by the media cabinet, and the other one is on the other side of the blackboard. For instructions on connecting, go to the Classroom Network section.
P.A. System- A wired lavalier microphone is always present at the media cabinet.
- There are six microphone inputs at the media cabinet. (XLR)
- Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter.
- Inputs are present at the media cabinet to plug in a cassette or CD player and to play through the system.
