Slide Projection- Two slide projectors are located in a cabinet in the very back of the room. The cabinet is always unlocked. The projectors do not have their own trays - these must be supplied by the instructor. AVS has trays available for check-out also.
- A remote control is attached to a movable podium in the front of the room.
- There are also wired remote inputs at the front of the room.
Data Projection- An NEC Projector is installed in the ceiling. When activated, it descends and can project both video and data.
- A VGA cable can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops, and there is an attached audio cable for playing laptop sound in the room.
Video Projection- The NEC Projector can project video as well.
- Both VHS and DVD players are located in theĀ media cabinetĀ in the front of the room.
Ethernet- Two ports are available for hooking up to the Internet through the Classroom Network. One is by the media cabinet, and the other one on the other side of the blackboard. For instructions on connecting, go to the Classroom Network section.
P.A. System- A wired lavalier microphone is always present at the media cabinet.
- There is only one microphone input at the media cabinet. (XLR)
- Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter. Call AVS to reserve one. The frequency is "02".
- Inputs are present on the media cabinet to plug in other media devices (cassette player, video camera, etc.) and to play through the system.
