Slide Projection- One slide projector is located in a cabinet in the very back of the room. The cabinet is always unlocked. The projector does not have its own tray - this must be supplied by the instructor. AVS has trays available for check-out also.
- Forward/Reverse and Focus buttons are on the wall, near the media cabinet. Input plugs for wired remotes are also located at the front, near the bottom of the media cabinet. Call AVS to request wired remotes.
Data Projection- A NEC Projector is installed in the ceiling. When activated, it descends and can project both video and data.
- A VGA cable can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops, and there is an attached audio cable for playing laptop sound in the room.
Video Projection- The NEC Projector can project video as well.
- Both VHS and DVD players are located in the media cabinet in the front of the room.
Ethernet- Four ports are available for hooking up to the Internet through the Classroom Network. Two are by the media cabinet and are labeled A33 & A34, The other two are on the other side of the blackboard and are labeled A35 & A36. For instructions on connecting, go to the Classroom Network section.
P.A. System- Wireless lavalier microphones are available to check out for the quarter. Call AVS to reserve one. The frequency is "52".
- A wired lavalier microphone is also present at the media cabinet.
- There is only one microphone input at the media cabinet. (XLR)
- Inputs are present on the media cabinet to plug in other media devices (cassette player, video camera, etc.) and to play through the system.
