- This room is equipped to allow classes to be video recorded for viewing over the Internet. For more information, visit www.bruincast.ucla.edu.
Data Projection- Two projectors are installed in the booth. A Panasonic unit projects onto the center stage, and a NEC projector can project onto an auxilary side stage. Each unit works independently and can project either data, video or from the document camera.
- A Classroom Computer is installed in the media cabinet. The monitor and keyboard are attached to the side of the cabinet. The monitor has touch panel capabilities and a pen is attached to the keyboard.
- A VGA cable comes out of the media cabinet, which can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops.
Video Projection- Both projectors are also capable of playing video. VHS and DVD decks are located in the media cabinet at the front of the room.
Document Camera- A document camera is installed on the media cabinet. It sits on a swivel so that it can be accessed from different sides of the station.
- The camera is also able to function as an overhead (transparency) projector.
Ethernet- Three ports are available for connecting to the Internet through the Classroom Network. Two are on the wall and one is on the media cabinet.
- The Classroom Computer is already confnected to the Classroom Network.
P.A. System- Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter.
- A wired lavalier microphone is present at the media cabinet.
- There are six microphone inputs (XLR) at the media cabinet.
- Inputs are present at the media cabinet to plug in a cassette or CD player and to play through the system.
- The Classroom Computer is connected to the P.A. system for sound support.
Slide Projection - There are no slide projectors installed and it is not possible to set up a portable system in this room.
