- This room is equipped to allow classes to be video recorded for viewing over the Internet. For more information, visit www.bruincast.ucla.edu.
Tutorials- There are currently two tutorials for this room. To view them, you will need Adobe Flash Player. For a free download, click here.
- The Media Cabinet Overview tutorial goes over the entire cabinet and then specifically looks at the video switcher.
- The DVD / VHS Operation tutorial demonstrates how to play either a VHS tape or a DVD through the room's video projector.
Slide Projection- Two slide projectors are located in the booth in the very back of the room. The projectors do not have their own trays - these must be supplied by the instructor. AVS also has trays available for check-out.
- There are input plugs for wired remotes. Call AVS to request wired remotes.
- The booth door has a card scanner installed on it. For access to the booth, contact AVS to arrange a time to have your card scanned.
Data Projection- A Panasonic projector is installed in the booth. It can be operated from the media cabinet; a booth key is not necessary for projecting data.
- A Classroom Computer is installed at the front of the room.
- A VGA cable can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops, and there is an attached audio cable for playing laptop sound in the room.
Video Projection- The Panasonic projector can project video as well.
- Both VHS and DVD players are located in the media cabinet at the front console.
Ethernet- Two ports are available on the wall for hooking up to the Internet through the Classroom Network.
- The Classroom Computer has its connection and is already configured to the Classroom Network.
P.A. System- A wired lavalier microphone is always present at the media cabinet.
- There are six microphone inputs at the media cabinet. (XLR)
- Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter. Call AVS to reserve one. The frequency is "13" or "10".
- Inputs are present on the media cabinet to plug in other media devices (cassette player, video camera, etc.) and to play through the system.
