  • The Media Cabinet Overview tutorial goes over the entire cabinet and then specifically looks at the video switcher.
  • The DVD / VHS Operation tutorial demonstrates how to play either a VHS tape or a DVD through the room's video projector.

Slide Projection

  • Two slide projectors are located in the booth in the very back of the room. The projectors do not have their own trays - these must be supplied by the instructor. AVS also has trays available for check-out.
  • There are input plugs for wired remotes. Call AVS to request wired remotes.
  • The booth door has a card scanner installed on it. For access to the booth, contact AVS to arrange a time to have your card scanned.

Data Projection

  • A Panasonic projector is installed in the booth. It can be operated from the media cabinet; a booth key is not necessary for projecting data.
  • A Classroom Computer is installed at the front of the room.
  • A VGA cable can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops, and there is an attached audio cable for playing laptop sound in the room.

Video Projection

  • The Panasonic projector can project video as well.
  • Both VHS and DVD players are located in the media cabinet at the front console.

Ethernet

  • Two ports are available on the wall for hooking up to the Internet through the Classroom Network.
  • The Classroom Computer has its connection and is already configured to the Classroom Network.

P.A. System

  • A wired lavalier microphone is always present at the media cabinet.
  • There are six microphone inputs at the media cabinet. (XLR)
  • Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter. Call AVS to reserve one. The frequency is "13" or "10".
  • Inputs are present on the media cabinet to plug in other media devices (cassette player, video camera, etc.) and to play through the system.
