Slide Projection

  • Two slide projectors are located in the booth in the very back of the room. The booth is locked and a key needs to be checked out from AVS. The projectors do not have their own trays - these must be supplied by the instructor. AVS also has trays available for check-out.
  • A remote control is attched to the movable podium. Controls are also at each fixed podium.

Data Projection

  • NEC Projector is installed in the ceiling. When activated, it descends and can project both video and data.
  • A VGA cable comes out of the media cabinet, which can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops.

Video Projection

  • The NEC Projector can project video as well.
  • Both VHS and DVD players are located in the media cabinet in the front of the room.

Ethernet

  • Four ports are available for hooking up to the Internet through the Classroom Network. Two are by each podium. For instructions on connecting, go to the Classroom Network section.

P.A. System

  • Microphones are fixed onto each podium.
  • A wired lavalier microphone is always present. It is located in the floor panel in the middle of the stage, marked "Wired Microphone".
  • There are five microphone inputs at the media cabinet. (XLR)
  • Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter. Call AVS to reserve one. The frequency is "00".
  • A cassette and CD player is installed at the media cabinet.

Audio Podcasting
