Slide Projection

  • One slide projector is located in the very back of the room. The projector does not have its own tray - these must be supplied by the instructor. AVS also has trays available for check-out.
  • There is a remote control attached to the movable podium in the front of the room.

Data Projection

  • Two JVC Projectors are installed on the ceiling. They are both capable of projecting either the same image or two different images depending on the input selection.
  • A Classroom Computer is installed in the front of the room.
  • A VGA cable comes out of the Classroom Computer Post. The cable can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops.

Video Projection

  • Both JVC Projectors are capable of playing video.
  • Both VHS and DVD players are located in the media cabinet in the front of the room.

Ethernet

  • Four ports are available for hooking up to the Internet through the Classroom Network. Two are by the media cabinet, and the other two are on the other side of the blackboard. For instructions on connecting, go to the Classroom Network section.
  • The Classroom Computer has its own port, as well as an additional one on the back of the post for laptops.

P.A. System

  • A wired lavalier microphone is always present at the media cabinet.
  • There is only one microphone input at the media cabinet. (XLR)
  • Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter. Call AVS to reserve one. The frequency is "04".
  • Inputs are present at the media cabinet to plug in a cassette or CD player and to play through the system.
