Slide Projection

  • Two slide projectors are located in the booth in the very back of the room. The booth door has a card scanner installed on it. For access to the booth, contact AVS to arrange a time to have your card scanned.
  • The projectors do not have their own trays - these must be supplied by the instructor. AVS also has trays available for check-out.
  • Buttons to forward / reverse and focus slides are on the wall, near the media cabinet. Wired remote controls are also available for check-out from AVS.

Data Projection

  • A NEC Projector projector is installed in the booth. It can be operated from the media cabinet; a booth key is not necessary for projecting data.
  • A Classroom Computer is intalled at the media cabinet.
  • A VGA cable comes out of the media cabinet, which can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops.

Video Projector

  • The NEC Projector can project video as well.
  • Both VHS and DVD players are located in the media cabinet at the front console.

Ethernet

  • Four ports are available for hooking up to the Internet through the Classroom Network.
  • Two are by the media console, and the other two are on the other side of the blackboard. For instructions on connecting, go to the Classroom Network section.
  • The Classroom Computer is already connected to the Classroom Network.

P.A. System

  • A wired lavalier microphone is always present at the media cabinet.
  • There are six microphone inputs at the media cabinet. (XLR)
  • Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter. Call AVS to reserve one. The frequency is "11".
  • Inputs are present at the media cabinet to plug in a cassette or CD player and to play through the system.
  • The Classroom Computer is connected to the sound system.
