Slide Projection

• Two slide projectors are located in a cabinet in the very back of the room. The cabinet is always unlocked. The projectors do not have their own trays - these must be supplied by the instructor. AVS has trays available for check-out also.
• Buttons to forward / reverse and focus slides are on the wall, near the media cabinet. Wired remote controls are also available for check-out from AVS.

Data Projection

• A NEC Projector is installed in the ceiling. When activated, it descends and can project both video and data.
• A Classroom Computer is installed at the front of the room.
• A VGA cable can be plugged directly into the video output of most laptops, and there is an attached audio cable for playing laptop sound in the room.

Video Projection

• The NEC Projector can project video as well.
• Both VHS and DVD players are located in the media cabinet at the front console.

Ethernet

• Four ports are available for connecting to the Internet through the Classroom Network. Two are by the media cabinet, and the other two are on the other side of the blackboard. For instructions on connecting, go to the Classroom Network section.
• The Classroom Computer is already configured and connected to the Classroom Network.

P.A. System

• A wired lavalier microphone is always present at the media cabinet. There is only one microphone input at the media cabinet (XLR).
• Wireless lavalier microphones are also available to check out for the quarter.
• The Classroom Computer is connected to the P.A. system for sound support.
• Input plugs are present on the media cabinet to plug in other media devices (cassette player, video camera, etc.) and to play through the system.
