Teaching with Technology Summer Workshop 2008

OID cordially invites you to attend the 2008 Teaching with Technology Summer Workshop to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday June 17 and 18. The workshops are designed for faculty at UCLA who are:  

1) interested in incorporating new and emerging technologies into their current teaching methods
2) seeking more information on using teaching technologies, and  
3) seeking to learn some of the basic skills necessary to begin incorporating technology to  improve communications with students.

The sessions of the workshop focus on a wide range of technologies that are of growing importance in today’s academic environment, and each topic is guided by an emphasis on the pedagogical values of employing such technologies.

While sessions cover a variety of teaching technologies, no previous level of skill with these technologies is assumed. We hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity.

All workshops will take place in OID's training room in 186 Powell Library Building.
OID has 8 PC and 8 MAC laptops that may be used during the workshop or you are free to bring your own. (You may want to bring a flash drive to save your work).

Directions to the OID Training Room

Located on the first floor of the Powell Library Building, room 186 is best reached by entering the doors on the northeast corner of the building. Go up the outside stairs and straight ahead to the main hallway. Make a left and room 186 is at the end of the hallway on the left.

The handicap entrance is through the doors at ground level. Go straight ahead to the main hallway and make a right. Then, make another quick right into the elevator foyer. Take the elevator to floor one and proceed straight down the hallway to room 186.
If there is any confusion, just follow the signs.
