Tutorials

  • To view a tutorial, you will need Adobe Flash Player. For a free download, click here.
  • The Video Playback tutorial demonstrates how to play either a DVD or a VHS cassette using the room's dual video player.
  • The Laptop tutorial shows how to connect your laptop to the room's media cabinet.

Data Projection

  • A Dell projector is installed in the ceiling. When activated, it can project either video or data.
  • A VGA cable is available, which can be connect directly into the output of most laptops.
  • Laptops that have only DVI output will need an adaptor to connect to the VGA cable.

Video Playback

  • A DVD & VHS player is located inside the media cabinet. Please pull down on the handle to access the player. A key is not required to access the cabinet.

Internet Access

  • The room is designed for WiFi availability for all students and faculty.
  • Two Ethernet jacks labeled AL-23, AM-1 are available on the wall.  There is also an additional Ethernet jack available on the Media Cabinet.
  • For instructions on connecting to the Internet, visit the Classroom Network section.

Sound System

  • Inputs are present at the media cabinet to plug in additional media devices (laptops, cassette player, video camera, etc.).
  • There is no voice amplification system available in this room.

Slide Projection

  • No slide projectors are permanently installed in this room. A quarterly installation can be arranged by contacting Audio Visual Services

Optical Equipment

  • A transparency projector has been permanently assigned to this room.

Data Projection

  • A Proxima Projector is installed in the ceiling. It can project either video or data.
  • A Classroom Computer is installed within the media cabinet.
  • A VGA Cable is available on the media cabinet for laptop connection.
  • Laptops that have only DVI output will need their own adapter to connect to the VGA cable.

Video Playback

  • Both DVD and VHS decks are located in the media cabinet at the front of the room.
  • An auxiliary video input (RCA) is available for additional video devices.

  • The room is designed for WiFi availability for all students and faculty.
  • Two Ethernet jacks labeled BD-17, BD-19 are available on the wall.  There is also an additional Ethernet jack available on the Media Cabinet.
  • The Classroom Computer has its own connection and is already configured to the Classroom Network.

  • Wireless lavalier microphones are available for check out, either on a daily or quarterly basis.

  • Inputs are present at the media cabinet to plug in additional media devices (cassette players, video cameras, etc.).
