Video Interviews of the 2009 Copenhaver Award Winners

Teaching with Technology Award winners discuss their software developments.

The 2009 winners of the Brian P. Copenhaver Award for Teaching with Technology are featured in videos illustrating their uses of technology.

John G. Riley from the Economics department discusses the development of UCLA Auction House to let students experience the economic modeling of auctions without having to understand the complex mathematics underlying those models.

Timothy Tangherlini from the Scandinavian Section describes his approach to folklore and the creation of the Danish Folklore Database. He used the software with an undergraduate class for the first time this academic year and he discusses the results of that experience.
