Evaluation of Instruction Program (EIP)

The Evaluation of Instruction Program (EIP) is designed to help departments conduct evaluations of instructors, courses, and curricula, and help instructors evaluate and improve their own teaching.

EIP provides forms, analyses, and reports for evaluation for courses, instructors and teaching assistants. Standard, TA, and open forms, that departments can tailor to their specific needs, are available. The Evaluation of Instruction Program distributes more than 300,000 forms annually to approximately 100 departments and various programs.

Evaluation Coordinators

Each department that EIP provides service to has one person designated as the Evaluation Coordinator.  The Evaluation Coordinator is responsible for obtaining evaluation supplies, distributing the materials to the classes to be evaluated, organizing the course envelopes prior to sending them to EIP and distributing the data once we have returned it to the department.   If you need to know who is the Evaluation Coordinator for a given department or program, please contact our office.

Outreach Services

Through the Office of Instructional Development, EIP offers Faculty Consulation Services. This is a personalized service for instructors interested in improving the quality of their instruction.

EIP also provides personalized services for departments that are interested in learning about EIP's services, interpreting our statistical reports, and the process of administering evaluations. Please call our office to arrange an appointment.
