Albert Carnesale

In addition to being Chancellor of UCLA, Albert Carnesale holds faculty appointments in the Department of Policy Studies at the School of Public Policy and Social Research and in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Prof. Carnesale is a leading expert on foreign and defense policy matters, having served as a consultant to the Executive Office of the President; the Departments of Defense, Energy, and State; the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency; and the Director of Central Intelligence. Prof. Carnesale also participated in the U.S. delegation to the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT I, 1970-72).
