There is a lot of talk on campus about creating "blended" (aka "hybrid") classes. But what does this mean? For some, it means providing "optional" web sites for students to visit, or posting class assignments online. But, for others, blended classes means supplanting, or augmenting, work normally done in a class with work that is presented and/or conducted online.

To find out more about what a blended class is, what's involved in creating one, and how effective it can be, bring your questions and/or ears to the Downstairs Lounge of the Faculty Center on Friday, January 17th, and listen to some faculty have either created a blended class, or are in the process of doing so now. Refreshments provided, and questions and comments are decidedly welcome.
